The Vikings were a bit "metrosexual" (to use a modern term) for their time and vain... the image of an unwashed(they washed twice a week) ugly hairy barbarian with horned helmets is a myth...

I bet even the Swedish vikings were more metro than their Norwegian and Danish counterparts though, with the makeup, baloon pants and other fancy stash they obtained in Eastern Europe and Byzantine.
