Up to 25 billion euros in aid mulled for Greece: report

BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany's finance ministry has sketched out a plan in which countries using the euro currency will provide aid worth between 20 billion and 25 billion euros ($27-$33.7 billion) for Greece, a magazine reported on Saturday.

Our government plans to waste 5 billion euros. That's 20% of the scheduled 25 billion euros. As if we had nothing better to do with our money. Our government is almost as corrupt as the Greece government.

Spending german tax payers' money is always sweet, we can't wait investing these 25 billions on a 14th salary and vacations for this summer.

No, joking aside, I don't mind helping out a European nation who are currently under tremendous financial strains, but can't for the life of me wonder two things:

1) Would Greece be in this mess if they weren't in the EU?

2) Would the Greeks have had the ability to counter this financial downturn by simply setting its own inflation/interest rates and cutting/raising taxes which best suited themselves?

If Greece wasn't involved with the Ezone then it would've just devalued the drachma.

How about handing over Crete to Germany in pledge of possible financial help?

Close but ZOG already thought of that and the money will naturally not be used to allow one EU Nation State to swallow up another but WILL be used to speed up the reimplementation of the Feudal System and Serfdom across the EU. Naturally for the promotion of an all-inclusive, diverse and "progressive" EUSSR society.
