Actually not very different. In Abruzzese dialects (the ones included into the southern branch) differences are essentially phonetic. In Teramo province, where Giuianova is located, is very common the phenomenon known in Italian as "frangimento vocalico" which is the substitution of the tonic vowel with another vowel.
Now in this particular dialect we find two vowels not common in Abruzzo that make it pretty hard to understand: [ɒ] (like the british "o" in "hot") and [ɜ] (like the "i" in "girl"). The second one is very hard for other abruzzese to catch. Even though I'm not Giuliese myself I'll provide you some examples of the dialect. To show the differences I'll choose words that are similar to both "common" Abruzzese and Italian.
Giuliese / "Common" Abruzzese / Italian / English

Rasce ['raʃʃə] / Rosce ['roʃʃə] / Rosso / Red
Quosse ['kwɔssə] / Quésse ['kwessə] / Codesto / That (something near the listener)
    Sperte ['spɜrtə] / Spirete ['spi:rətə]] / Spirito / Spirit
Posce ['pɒʃʃə] / Pésce ['peʃʃə] / Pesce / Fish
    Leve ['lɜ:və] / Live ['li:və] / Oliva / Olive
    Ndese ['ndɜ:sə] / Ndèse ['ndɛ:sə] / Inteso (Sentito) / Heard

Questo è sempre interessante; Emiliano Vs francese
Si notano macro somiglianze, entrambe sono lingue gallo romanze:
