Default Hitler never visited a concentration camp

I'm not 100% sure but afaik Hitler never visited a concentration camp.

Has anyone remarks on it as a fact?

My main point is, if this is applicable, how is this to be assessed in regard to Hitler?

The motivation for not doing will have been that it's unpleasant, I guess. Had Hitler empathy and was he sensitive of the suffering of others? Does it disprove sadism? Was he a coward intentionally not checking in person what were the consequences of what he had ordered (or at least allowed)? Was he irresponsible, not checking this in person? Or was it all together?

    Opinions?

I heard that genocide was Himmler's idea rather than Hitler's, but I have never researched this subject properly.

I actually didn't have a genocide and extermination camps in mind but regular concentration camps that you had in Germany since 1933. So the whole thing is even more noteworthy.

I heard Hitler was a vegetarian , how many guys were vegetarians in the 1940's, perhaps he had digestion issues with meat ?,
which would be a shame cause the Argentinians do some pretty good BBQ.

A bunch of prisoners would have been throwing rocks at him.

I think it's irrelevant tbh, besides showing his head was in the clouds, which is already assumed. Don't think Roosevelt ever visited the US concentration camps during WWII either. They weren't exactly photo opportunities. Can you imagine a photo of Hitler giving a thumbs up in front of a bunch of bedraggled inmates or an oven.

It says something more about human nature than Hitler really. The psychopatic leader doesnt need to controll his followers, because the hierarchical system works from bottom to top.

Stalin didn't ever visit his gulags either. All of them were likely aware of the brutal conditions in the camps under their regimes. They simply chose to ignore it.
