with russia the overlap is mostly via pan-slavic types

with turkey the overlap is mostly via balkan and southern euro looking turks

I voted Russians, as Bulgarians have a substantial Slavic mix. Therefore closer to Russians. Also they use the Cyrillic alphabet.

The question is vague, Bulgarians are definitely closer to Balkan turks/Mediterranean Turks including Bulgarian ones, than they are to Russians, however, they are very different than Turks from Eastern or Central Turkey, which in regards, they are close to Russians. For the first reason, I voted for Turkey.
