Judaism is not Zionism. Jews are an ethnoreligious community, so the religion and race are combined. Israel today: Historical Jewish Land. Nobody denies it, it's a historical fact. It does not mean Jews have right to colonise again on their historical land in my opinion anyways.

Im not sure.
Of course there were many interested to go back to the holy land but most Jews were quite comfortable in Poland/Germany/Russia and never had a desire to go back.
(For example the Karaim wanted to go to Israel after the Holocaust)

The British didn't create the Jewish homeland the UN did. In fact the British gave 78% of the land to the Arabs after it was promised to Jews at San Remo and banned Jews from settling there. They then restricted immigration of Jewish refugees to the remaining 22% so that many died in the holocaust.
