Default Wisdom to live by - Buddhist Edition.

Morality purifies conduct, and concentration makes the mind calm. When the mind is calm, and concentrated wisdom arises, clear insight of things as they really are.

View everything you encounter, persons, objects, events, and experiences realistically, as transient phenomena, dependently arisen through conditions. Reflect on them in terms of 3 characteristics impermanence, unsatisfactoriness, and without self.

Idle speech is pointless talk that lacks purpose, and depth, it communicates nothing of value, but only stirs up defilements in one's own mind, and in others. Restrict the speech as much as possible to matters of genuine importance.

Uncontrolled response to the sensory input stimulates the latent defilements. Control your responses.

Feeling by itself is quite neutral when it simply registers the impact of an object as pleasant, unpleasant, or neutral. Only when there are emotional additions, such as when one's personal story is involved, will there arise fear, hatred, anger etc. Feelings, and emotions are separable. Stopping at the bare or primary feeling is psychologically possible.

    Remember

    Be a refuge onto yourself.
Do only what is good, right, and true.
    Hold on to nothing.
    Live clean, innocent life.
Keep your mind, and heart open.
Be honest with yourself about yourself.
Make your daily living pure, and honest.
    Commit to the truth.
Do every act of your life as if it were the last.
Forget the mistakes of the past.
    Forgive yourself.

Watch your thoughts they become words, watch your words they become actions, whatch your actions they become habits, watch your habits they become character, watch your character it becomes your destiny.

Most of all look at sunny side of everything, give everyone a smile!

That's it kids. Thanks for the lessons I have learned here, it's been a blast!

I have practiced idle talk to last me a bunch of lifetimes! LOL

Boss, thanks for everything, you are the man!
