In San Francisco people walk around nude, and its never the people that you want to see naked either. I think its fine if you're at the beach, but otherwise cover up.

A couple of years ago, I was on the French side of St. Martin on a tour which visited a nude beach. It was a work day which probably explains why very few young people were there. Most of those who were there were obese, elderly, and ugly. The scene was, for the most part,the very antithesis of erotic. There were two exceptions, though.

A slim, shapely young woman was receiving a rub-down with oil on a picnic table. A handsome, well-developed man of about 30 had chosen to wear a penis ring which kept him in a conspicuously ithyphallic state. Most of the tourists seemed to find the latter example shocking, though some were amused.
