Is Sex really the driving force behind all things?

There is a philosophical view out there that many people seem to believe, that basically all throughout the course of human events everything men have done, in other words everything from building the pyramids to creating the iPhone was done out of the will to get the opposite sex. What do you think of this outlook? Do you agree? Please discuss.

I believe so, yes. Although I wouldn't put it in terms of "out of the will to get the opposite sex", but more like a constant desire/need to fulfill. Thus, everything we do is in pursuit of satisfying that desire. It's not only a phylosophical view but also a psychoanalitical (psychological) one.

No, that's stupid. It is true that we live to mindlessly procreate and perpetuate what is the struggle of life, but not all in the struggle of life is done for the reason to procreate.
