Sex is a satiable appetite...ego is not.

Sometimes you dont want to get laid...but you're never not in the mood for rewards, adoration, accolades, promotions, praise, thumbs ups, etc

Egotism has limits, specially in such a self-servient era where praise, smiles and pats in the back are comonplace.
I personally have absolutely no use for positive feedback from people, unless they're mentors, more advanced individuals or hierarchical superiors.

Mass audicience opinions are worthless to me.

i was reffering about the addiction and too high importance that many put into it.
Also, sex in Christianity is mostly about reprodution, for pleasure, idk but probably not so much because to follow Christ, we first have to left behind our wordly desires.

It is kind of the opposite, sex was much less present in public life in the past and families were composed by 5-7 or 12 children, today sex is everywhere and people barely have 1 kid, it is all about hedonism, nothing to do with reproduction.

By the way, sex is probably the highest motivation for Nihilism.
When someone is get too much addicted to sex, specially ejaculation, the person cannot see the meaning of things anymore and became pessimist and materialist.
Back then, i was addicted to masturbation, i thought sexual pleasure was the only goal of life, i was nihilistic but when i started to control it more, i became able to see the meaning of things in a longer term and became a Christian again
As Christians, we don't have to expect realization in this life because the reward that we seek for is in the other life.
Chirstianity is ascetism by its nature.
The goal to became a better man and a better women in this life because of things such as sex is similar to the "Übermensch" concept from Nietzche( the propositor of Nihilism).
Sex, specially for pleasure is very anti Christianity, even because, another poison that it develops is vainity which is, probably, the highest cause of depression and anxiety in teenagers( more with women, of course).
