    Default Kurdified Armenians

    * Thousands of Armenian villages embraced Islam and adopted the Kurd identity in the course of time and became Kurdified.

Only in the time of Sheikh Mahmud Feyzi, my grandfather's dad, over 500 Armenian villages completely became Muslim. These converted people remained neutral during the incidents in 1915. They didnt take neither the Armenian side, nor our side. They showed great effort to prevent the clashes. But after PKK terrorism began, majority of these villages sided with the PKK and turned against us.

Hrant Dink said, it was actually the Kurds that committed the "genocide" but Armenians attacked to Muslims first. European countries and Russia provoked Armenians starting from 18th century.

We only defended our life and honor. The actual homeland of Armenians was Palestine. Romans exiled them to Anatolia. Kurds called them "Fille" which meant Palestinian. With the relocation, "Filles" were sent back to where they came from, meaning their homeland. The total number of Armenians that died as a result of clashes is not more than a couple of thousand.

Armenians and Turks were living on the valleys, Kurds settled to the mountains. When Armenians began terrorizing Turks whom they were living together, Kurds sent armed regiments to the cities to protect their Muslim brothers.

Armenians triggered the incidents. Hamidian regiments were formed to protect Muslims against Armenians. My grandfather Sheikh Said was a very influential Sheikh that had followers from Syria to Kars province. During the incidents of 1915, he sent letters to Armenian notables and clergy and said, "dont do it, Western agents are provoking you, dont attack, dont spill blood."

But my grandfather couldnt hold the Kurds back after Armenians murdered Sheikh Haydari Kersi, the Caliphate of Sheikh Said. Armenians launched the massacres and armament everywhere.

When Europeans armed Fedai-yi Fillan (Armenian Fedai), Ottoman State armed the Kurds. Hamidian regiments were formed to protect Muslims against Armenian assaults.

The first massacres were committed by Armenians in Erzurum and Van regions. Armenians suffered the most casualties during the migration due to hunger and disease. Armenians mainly slaughtered Turks because Turks and Armenians were living together in the cities and on the valleys.

During the time of Sheikh Said, his father Sheikh Mahmut Feyzi and his grandfather Sheikh Ali Palevi, thousands of Armenian villages converted and became Muslim, adopted the Kurd identity and became Kurdified in the course of time. My grandfathers honored thousands of Armenian villages with Islam. The number of Muslim converts in 1915 and afterwards is very low.

(Abdulilah Firat, The Grandson of Sheikh Said)

Anyone would be a Kurd too under that conditions. It was being Muslim or being dead in these days.

BTW all those are just crap from a Turkish nationalist fuckhead. 'Turks slaughtered Armenians because they wanted to create a nation-state and ummah.' is the point of the whole story in 1914-15.
