Are people really pro-European or are they more anti-something else?

In my experience, a lot of people who claim to be 'pro-European' are really anti-American, in the case of the Left, or anti-MENA, in the case of the Right. Is there a genuine feeling of solidarity and unity between Europe's peoples and a wish for one European government, or is it a displacement activity for people who (a) hate America and (wrongly) think of Europe and one European government as a more humane and social-democratic alternative, or (b) do not so much like their fellow Europeans, but dislike non-European immigrants, most especially (judging by this forum) North Africans and Middle Easterners?

Impossible to be in favour of a concept that is flawed from the start.
European is a pure geographic designation.

If you want to see a "Pro-European" stutter and be uncapable of proposing anything, just ask him what he thinks should happen with Transylvania and Szekely Land, all currently under Romanian administration, or ask him if Kaliningrad should be returned to Germany or not.

Its quite justified to begin with. With american globalization going on and how the EU is selling out their own country's established culture and racial identity with incompatible immigration that does nothing, but cause more unnecessary violence and reduces a country to a third world shithole. Its justified to deport their parasitic asses out in order to maintain a stabilized and uniform country for the most part. Their simply doing whats right that the incompetent politicians can not. Who would much rather sell out their country rather than preserving the essence that it stands for. Which is why homogeneous societies are the way to go; not the multicult garbage they spew left and right via the media.

Well I'm pro-European and I don't hate on other people just for what they are. I don't think cultural preservationism is necessarily reactionary if that's what you mean.
