It isn't, because neolithics don't score any on gedmatch, but they score East Med. It is just a fact MENAs are CHG mixed and received migration waves from Caucasus, togheder with J and G haplogroups.
Arabs for example are basically Natufian (E1b) + CHG (J1/J2) with some African or European, depending on the region.

I score high CHG/Kavkaz everywhere, and low East Med, just like on gedmatch. Btw, non Slavs in Volga-Ural region of Russia score suprisingly high West Asian. They are genetically super northern.

That's pretty much what I'm saying, MENAs carried these components to Greece, Balkans and South Italy. While SW Europe has little from it because it has less post-BA Anatolian. Iberia, for example, has the lowest Caucasus admixture in all of Southern Europe.

I score 0% Red Sea, no African at all and low East Med. This component peaks in Georgia and North Caucasus, not Syria.
If MENAs bought it here, we would score their main brown components in large quantities, but we don't.

My west Asian itself is higher than East Med, and other Croats have it similar just like my Hungarian husband.
User Hrvoje who is mix of Slovenian, Croat and Czech also scores high West Asian and low East Med.

To be honest, I don't think West Asian component in Croats come from Indo-Europeans. If you look at Scandinavians and Balts they score very little of it, while Sicilians and Greek Islanders score a lot. The latter are among the least steppe admixed Europeans, the former are the ones with more Steppe.

Even Kurds, Armenians, Syrians and Iranians score high West Asian, I doubt this is a steppe component.

It’s interesting that it seems natufians had more of a genetic impact on Arabs than levantines. This is probably because it’s not direct Natufian ancestry but from a similar hunter gathering people who lived in Arabian peninsula as well as in the Levant at the time E1b migrated from North Africa and assimilated them making “Natufian”
