Another unpopular opinion, whether on the Left or the Right (for different but not entirely unrelated reasons): non-whites dislike Whites at least as much as the other way round. And no, it is not (entirely) a reaction to colonialism either: the Boxer Rebellion in China was driven in part by anger at Western men picking up Chinese women, and in pre-colonial Africa European visitors were often pitied and even sometimes ridiculed for looking so sickly and pale. What is more, surveys in recent years show that, in the US, Aframs - more specifically, Afram women - tend to be the most vigorously opposed to mixed marriages.
Nonetheless, it is true that, among races and nations that are neither White nor Black - Japanese, Chinese, Indians, Pakistanis, Saudis, Iraqis, Mexicans etc - Blacks are usually disliked even more than Whites.

They would get life sentence elsewhere, which is not much better in my opinion so i don't think it's a great argument against death penalty.
With the advent of genetics and advanced forensics, the sentences have never been objectively supported by more undeniable evidences as they are today, as much as it can possibly get. People just have to admit it's only a moral issue on their end and not hiding behind some rare cases of dysfunctionnal trials in the past. The opinion has shifted completely in few decades on the subject, so the question is why and how. People are not smarter today than they were in the 20th century, they didn't reach that conclusion alone. I believe it's more the idea against it that was infused in the pop culture, especially in movies with hundreds of them treating the subject.
It can also work both ways, exploiting holes in the laws for dubious acquittals, since reasonable doubt is in favor of the accused. When they don't try to pass as having a mental disability.

I am objectively for the death penalty. However, there are too many cases where people are found to be innocent only after they are executed. There has to be a higher standard than "reasonable doubt" if the sentence is death.
I know, innocent people don't get executed that often, and the ones who are usually, black, brown, or poor. There are lots of injustices in this world, but being put to death for a crime a person didn't commit is one of the worst and most avoidable.
