For quite some time now I consciously refused from watching TV, even before I became interested in politics in 2017. From the beginning, I began to notice that Hollywood films inspire fear, mistrust, and a sense of danger to people because of the huge number of shootings and killings. Then I began to notice the imposed depression from the Russian series about cops, bandits, drunks and corrupt bureaucrats. Then I refused humorous programs and news and.. that's how I left without a TV set. I looked around and realized that I am mostly surrounded by kind, honest and helpful people. There are no bandits, drunks are 1-2 per five-story building at maximum. People are friendly and welcoming if you yourself are sometimes interested in their life. And I thought how I used to live in a world where TV shaped and programmed the perception of the world around me. Conclusion: do not watch TV and protect your children from it. You can use the TV as a large monitor.
