Are Portuguese the most tanned Europeans? look at their football players

Portuguese stick out in the rest of Europe, but not for their swarthiness.

Their Paleoatlantid phenotype, dark olive skin, narrow eyes and very cromag features are an uncommon combination. I can pick the typical Paleoatlantid+berid Portuguese out of a lineup with 99 Sicilians, or 99 Maltese, or 99 Cypriots.

Someone has to be the most tanned though, Portuguese will take the honours.
And that doesn't mean we'll stick out like sore thumbs in other southern european countries, because we don't.
But most of us sure do, in central and specially northern Europe (but this hasn't got anything to do with our skin tone, but with our features/height, hair colour, all associated).

I agree but disagree at the same time.

I think what makes us look different from most Northern europeans is skin tone, not so much facial features.

I was looking into Portuguese people pics when I saw this comment

I found amusing pics of Portuguese, and most look quite different from common European face(s) who the rest of the world basically think of.

For instance, look at Portugal football players (even after ignoring obvious part/full Africans, most look too exotic).

This is a better representation, my region is probably the most Portuguese of them all, because it's the only one that doesn't border the sea or spain, plus we have big mountains all around this district to keep it protected, we're also probably one of the poorest areas of the country, not much immigrants here.

When I'm in Lisbon I can definitely see a small difference between us and them, they have more blondes there for example(portuguese ones).
So for those saying southern Portugal is darker than the north, that isn't always true.
