Tabiti informs me they are not Slavs.......but they do sell Red Army military gear, I'm after a hat.
I believe that legends and myth are largely made of
“truth”, and indeed present aspects of it that can only be received in this mode; and long ago certain truths and modes of this kind were discovered and must always reappear.
J.R.R. Tolkien
Indeed it might be a basic characteristic of existence that those who would know it completely would perish, in which case the strength of a spirit should be measured according to how much of the “truth” one could still barely endure-or to put it more clearly, to what degree one would require it to be thinned down, shrouded, sweetened, blunted, falsified.
Nietzsche
To God everything is beautiful, good, and just; humans, however, think some things are unjust and others just.

And German as well
And maybe Westerners often mistake our communistic army insignia with the Solviet one.
Linguistic, yes, but it's also controversial. As for cultural, we are Eastern Europeans, which is not equal with Slavic, however often mistaken for.The term, Slav is a cultural and linguistic one. As far as I'm concerned... we are.
As for genetics, well, Void, see again your 23andme test results

I know nothing about them. They are probably the European people I know least about.
I even know more about Romanians.

I don't see anything controversial about it. We use, no, we practically invented the Cyrillic alphabet (although two Greeks gave birth to original Glagonitic alphabet which the present Cyrillic alphabet evolved from). It's an alphabet that is used by a lot of Slavs. The Serbs, the Montenegrins, the Macedonians, the Russians, the Belarusians, the Ukrainians and us. Our culture is also isn't too different from say, the Serbs. Our religion is essentially similar to other Slavic countries excluding Pope-loving Slavic countries. Our language is definitely Slavic, we share basic similarities with other Slavic-speaking languages (but I emphasize basic). We are in essence Slavic, there's no doubt about it. Food? We share basic similarities with other neighboring Slavic countries such as Serbia or Macedonia (even more so with Macedonia). If we're not Slavs then what exactly are we?

So basically your language makes you Slavs? Religion doesn't have anything to do with it any more, or are Catholic Slavs no longer Slavs? As for cuisine... I'm sure Hungarians, Romanians, Greeks and even Turks have a lot in common with you.
Try finding things that actually define you as Slavs - tradition!

Void, you can't use Macedonia as a prove, in this case, because they are bulgarians..
