With the current situation in the UK, the instability granted by the ethnic tensions and distrust between the locals, the Muslims, and the elites, the job losses of locals being replaced by immigrants, the fear of poverty, as well as the IRA resistance still going on, if Scotland's independence kicks off, it might just influence the rest of the republics to do the same, if they can't stand the current heat going on in the UK.

Plenty of doubts myself. Not only was this attempt to partition the UK completely targetted by the entire British political establishment (shows they will obey the call of something bigger when they're required to), and will probably fail seeing the numbers that are coming in, but even a new Scottish State is likely to yield quickly to political pressures the moment they start drafting their new Constitution.

I've already seen the SNP drop the anti-NATO position, and if they were to join the organization, their claim to declare Scotland a nuclear weapon free country would die with it. seeing as military bloc decisions, specially of such an importance as nuclear warheads are, are taken by Rasmussen (and the people behind him), and not by small national governments.

I don't know. Maybe I'm just being terribly pessimistic (which I am), but I feel as if onthing at all will really change after today. There probably won't even be a new Scottish State. Moreover, if the no wins tonight, it will mean the majority of Scottish citizens value more the petty comforts of being part of the decadent West, than what they care about a supposed national rebirth. Telling of this era's humans.

Glasgow is probably going to come out with a Yes win, I dunno if that will be enough though. Clackmannanshire was expected to be a Yes win. Disappointing.
