No mate, the SNP specifically said they'd seek to rejoin, and a majority of Scots when polled said that as an independent nation they'd want to rejoin the EU.

Alex Salmond did say they'd try to apply for EU membership.
Just because the UK might be what it is, doesn't mean the SNP leadership are somehow revolutionaries or real source of change.

Fragmentation leaves the combined strength of the formerly united nations less than it was originally.

This is why I was cheering for Scottish independence. The weaker Western economies become over the next decade, the easier it will be for far-right parties to rise to power.

Scotland is a lot more pro EU than England. Scotland also is a lot more socialist and vote Labour more than England.

I think perhaps they were unsure how much support the free world would give them; bankers, unionists and everyone else. I believe they could have pulled it off, and been a huge success, paving the way for others that are unhappy with being unemployed with no prospects other than being on the dole. Just my view, I think Scots around the world would have rallied to their aid.
