Why Italians don't like Spaniards?

I've seen a lot of negative comments online from Italians from different sites mocking Spaniards as if we weren't really white and European and talking about how we're lazy and just like to take siestas and that we're Moors who are wannabe Irish and things like that. I don't get where its coming from especially since Spaniards don't really start anything or have anything to do with Italians in the first place. Is it possible that its just the same set of people over and over or do Italians in general just have a negative view of Spaniards?

I have noticed a certain subset of Italian users on these forums who wish to portray Spaniards as more exotic than they are, because they are somewhat envious of the fact that, although Mediterranean, the Spanish have a higher proportion of people who look Western European and that there is relatively little non-European ancestry amongst the Spanish by comparison to some regions of Italy.
