Default Do Venetians see themselves as Italians?

Venice has been a strong European power on its own for a long time in history. Do they have any separatist sentiments?

It was held online. 2 and a half million people voted. 90% voted yes. Italy did not recognize the referendum.

Yes...recent polls suggest that a ''yes'' for a secessionist referendum is arounf 70% in some cities as Belluno, Padova and Vicenza.

That's not surprising...their state lasted for 1100 years

Not many people know that during the disastrous battle of Lissa, the Italian Royal Navy was totally sunken by austrian ships full of venetians who screw ''viva el popolo fiòl de San Marco, viva èl Leòn''.

Ironic, as it was Napoleon who abolished the Venetian Republic and gave much of its territory to his (sometimes) friends in Austria.

    Yes.
The Treaty of Campoformio was a totally illegal action.

Even the Ligurian Republic, another state that lasted for 800 years, suffered the same thing: it was gave us after the Restauration to give to the Savoyardes a long coastal line.
Genoa itself revolted in 1830 and the piemontese troopers repressed the revolt with guns and swords.
