Let the people of Republika Srpska freely on democratic referendum choose what they want.
They have right on self-determination.

I am not trying to say that and I don't think people hate each other that much and it's not the most rational way to base this on. Maybe if they are constantly exposed to politics or live isolated from each other it's easy to form and opinion, but when I look at i.e. Serbs here in Sweden (whom are older than me btw) most don't think about politics in the RS sense.
Look, because of historical migrations and wars Bosnia's demographics have changed dramatically for centuries. The Serb demographics have changed significantly too, before RS was created. You would see much more diversity of ethnicity and that was more natural obviously. Another reason is because if the lands were originally in the hands of Bosnians and Bosnia, it should remain so. Some people throughout history got permission by Bosnians to move into the country and take care of their land. Essentially they came as Gastarbeiter, which is not problem really. It was mutual. But that doesn't mean one can make a new state out of all this.
What would you think if say gypsies moved into one are in Serbia and became the majority there and now wanted to succeed? It would be dismissed. You could also look at other parts of the world, and people will say, as soon as something doesn't go their way, that they want to succeed. It's just not the right way of handling things and in the end it won't solve many problems
But I want to clarify that this is not meant to say that the proto-Serb populations of Bosnia mean nothing, they do mean a lot and have done so throughout times. If I take Vlachs for example, they have been known for their way of taking care of agriculture and cattle and the locations they live at (that suited their way of life). This is noticeable in spite of their religion.

Hatred is not even required. A serious and persistent wish for selfdetermination must be enough in this case. The state of BiH violates the principle of selfdetermination of people.
I can not overlook whether the exact area of RS has become Serbian in a correct way as there were a lot of mutual not agreed to expulsions and that I can not approve and support. On the other hand, I would approve and support an orderly volountary population exchange without robbery and with the opportunity to sell (and buy) properties, like Germans could do in line with the Hitler-Stalin agreement ("Heim ins Reich"). But if there is agreed to the RS area and a secession on the BiH level, these reservations would be overcome (not robberies and expulsions but that the areas in question belong to an independant RS). And in some way a self determination of Serbs must be made possible. As for pre expulsion vast majority Serb areas this is a legit claim even without any agreement imo.
The same applies as for Croats btw. though I know that they are in a very different situation with their very unlucky federation with Bosnian Muslims.
