    Irish are the palest race in Europe, but often called "dark" because their hair is darker (or people imagine it) than the British (actually this mostly is imagined from too many Hollywood movies and never visiting Ireland).

    Also, why do you care so much if someone says British are darker than Scandinavians? :/ It is not that everyone wishes to look like a Viking you know...

    I kind of agree with FeederOfRavens. But the fact that Brits are darker than other Europeans doesn't mean they're dark. In any case, imo, all of this of who's whiter than whom is just a bit nonsensical .

    Yes but they have darker hair which makes them seem all around darker.

    Slightly darker haired. And scandinavians are slightly darker sknned. Light eyes are equal.

    In overall complexion they are even.

    yes or once I saw on FB (not to me luckily)..."cama de sol urgente" worst thing I have to go the beach in December after 3 months of British winter...imagine this.
