Olivenca was stolen by Spain?

Yes. Long story short: when Napoleon ordered every european country to shut down their ports for english ships in order to isolate England we refused (because of old allience with them). So then France decided to invade us. They made a treaty with Spain in which they would both invade us and split our country between them. When the french armies where in Spain they started the invasion and took Olivença. Then after a while the french thought "Meh... while we are here why not take Spain for ourselves too?". They attacked the spanish starting the Peninsular War.
England then sent an army to help, and a joint anglo-spanish-portuguese force eventually pushed the french out. When it was over we said to the spanish "Ok, can you give Olivença back now please?" to which the spanish replied "Give what back?". And Olivença has been spanish ever since.

Bah, don't complain about a village, at least the English helped you until the end and Lisbon is Portuguese. We were betrayed by the English and today Barcelona is Spanish.

It's kind of an irrelevant village yes, but the principle of the thing is what annoys me.

How did the english betray you?

Very simplified: We, Catalans and English, signed an agreement, the Treaty of Genoa (1705), by which we entered the war on condition that we received help from them and that they'd ensure the defence of our liberties, whatever the result of the war. Nine years later, they broke it and we were abandoned by them, because Spain gave them Gibraltar and Minorca. Treaty of Utrecht, 1714. We had to continue fighting all alone and finally, after months, Barcelona fell.

I'm not accusing the English society, though. There were apparently strong oppositions to this at the House of Lords, they called it 'the Case of the Catalans', and even some British writers and historians criticized their own folk for this.
