The immigrants in the EU always want to move where they will be given the most financial help, free education, housing, healthcare, etc, - ie; they flood to the rich nations in northern Europe, the US, Canada, Australia, etc. Immigrants always want to move to the best nations in the world.

Once we gain independence from the EU, we will be able to start controlling our immigration borders again, not just the amount of immigrants who've now moved in recently from the southern EU states who are in an economic crisis, but also third world immigrants too, who move wherever they choose in the EU once they become an EU citizen. That's the problem - the EU's open-borders immigration laws.

A lot of pro-independence parties against the EU have risen in votes in the elections across northern EU nations ("states of Europe", sorry). So this shows that northern Europeans are aware of the problems and why we can't control our immigration borders in the EU. Also it's the rich northern European nations who keep bailing out the southern states.

Third world immigrants won't go to the crisis states in the EU cos it will be difficult for them to find any help when the natives are struggling with their economies.
