It was recently announced in the national media that a Dutch company has pushed the UK out of the Interrail ticket scheme, which means tourists and travellers to Europe will no longer be able to use the ticket scheme in the UK.
The Eurostar high speed undersea rail services to London's St. Pancras International will be still be covered, but the removal of the interrail ticket scheme could affect future tourists from visiting the rest of the UK outside of the capital. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-49263781
The recent news has angered people from outside of London as they're concerned it will affect their tourism, but places like Cornwall are already overcrowded with tourists which the locals also complain about.
Although London has 6 international airports and several smaller airports to serve the UK capital https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airports_of_London along with St. Pancras International train station to cope with all the visitors and tourists here each year, it does get very busy and overcrowded with a lot of tourists, so I don't want the city to be overwhelmed with even more tourists after the interrail ticket scheme ends.
