Stupid question since Greeks consider Macedonia to be Greece. Any true Bulgarian would vote neither, but if one were to HAVE to choose then I guess it would be the status-quo of today's Macedonia because:

1. Macedonia language is still the closest language to Bulgarian

2. At least then Greece won't have claims to lands that were never part of the original (Greek) Macedonia, which is most of Vardarska anyway.

Skopians are stupid....
They could have Bulgaria as their greatest ally,a natural ally . A natural ally is the one who will never betray you and is the most valuable and precious ally one can have. Bulgaria would be such an ally for Skopia since Skopians are in reality Bulgarians . What Skopians prefered? To spit Bulgaria to the face, turn their back and steal Bulgarias history while leaving the building .

Is not that i dont understand the reason they do it....their reason is actually in reality need but their attitude is tragic and at the same time a true comedy.
Skopians want to be Macedonians, they have decided that....but being Bulgarians means not to be Macedonians so they kicked their true nationality in favor of the new one that try to create. But rather than at least leave the Bulgarian heroes to be what they are, they became greedy and decided to claim for themselves every Bulgarian hero that ever stepped foot on their area....that was extremely stupid and turned Bulgarians against them.
The other problem Skopians had is that they couldnt be Macedonians because Macedonians are Greeks....so how can they ever be Macedonians since they arent Greeks themselves? What to do for that? So they sratched their heads and decided to claim that Macedonians were not Greeks, ignoring with that clam the entire Macedonian history....so on the one hand they totally ignore Macedonian history but on the other hand they claim it....

As French people say..... They ignore what is there and try to prove what is not....

Abandoned? You're kidding me, right? Bulgaria fought two Balkan wars, two world wars for the sake of BULGARIANS in Paeonia/West Bulgaria (Ohrid is Bulgarian and all) and Macedonia! The Macedonian lobby/IMRO was one of the most powerful political force in pre-WW2 Bulgaria and we actively antagonized Bulgaria to go to war to liberate Macedonia from Greek-Ottoman-Serbian axis! Oh, our agitation has cost them dearly, dearly indeed. They lost First Balkan War gains, their access to the Aegean Sea after WW1, and only regained Silistre, a thoroughly Bulgarian territory after WW2.

Makedonski is what it is ... a geographic qualifier for a dialect of the Bulgarian language! There are also Moesian, Dobrudzhan, Thracian dialects ... should we make them separate languages based on imaginary lines now?!?!

The area of Skopia is Paeonia, Macedonians never lived there, it was named as Macedonia Segunta by the Romans for adminstative reasons...but Macedonians were never there, Peaonians were....
