    Thessaly

    Wedding traditions...
Since its on a stage it cant show the time frame of the actions.
At first we have the beutification of the bride before the wedding, then they took her to the church on foot while mucissians will lead the way and after the wedding the bride and the groom would dance while the relatives would put money made laces on them. Cyprus has exact the same customs on their traditional weddings. What differs are the costums and some small details.

    EASTERN THRACE
Anatoliki Romilia is an area of Eastern Thrace which, as the entire area, had ancient Hellenic population since recently. Now the area has no Greeks but their traditions remain and are honoured.

The group presented traditional dances from a Thracian region called "Anatoliki Romilia". The particular dance which is presented here by 25 dancers of the group, is called "Tsestos". This is a manly dance which is a kind of "Zonaradikos" as the dancers hold each other by their belts (zonaria).

    WESTERN THRACE

    Mpaintouska

    Tapeinos - humble

Συρτός Συγκαθιστός-Ζευγαρωτός- Sirtos paired (at some point the cyrcle breaks and the dancers make pairs)

    Ζωναράδικος-Κλωστρός-Κουλουριαστός , best dance-klostros-kukuriastos

In Zakynthos we have several traditions :

    Kantades (kind of serenades)

    Omilies ( like a theater-comedy, only male actors )

In Carnival, the recarnation of Venetian marriage

Except from Vasilopita, Zakynthians also ''cut'' another pie as well, called Kouloura.

Zakynthian Easter needs a whole new thread on its own

    Pontus AND Crete
THE BEST VIDEO I HAVE FOUND

there are 2 dance teams, the one is from Pontus and the other from Crete. The music goes from Pontian to Cretan and so the dance changes from the one side to the other side. In the end to 2 teams join and dance the same music in the traditional way that each has. Amazing video....
