Yep, I know, plus I think Oman is kind of liberal by Arabian Peninsula standards. The Sultan invested the money carefully, too.
Yemen is a shithole thanks their tribal behavior and their khat addiction, I've heard about that. They don't have oil, too. Sad thing is Saana is quite beautiful from the pictures I've seen, very interesting architecture, plus it's the greenest country in the peninsula if I remember.
