What a weird forum this is. I like it.
I'm a woman. I am not a feminist. In fact, I hate feminists and agree with Milo Yiannopoulos that feminism is cancer. That said, why would any married woman seek permission to take up belly dancing? It's not like it's pole dancing or stripping. It's a traditional and, I assume, very old form of dance, right? Unless, belly dancers were kind of the hookers to the Arabs, once upon a time? Dunno. Anyway, I never saw it as sleazy or controversial.

Perhaps the issue over belly dancing is the clothing worn which is somewhat scant but hula dancers don't wear much either and I can't imagine some guy asking if he should let his wife hula, lol.Originally Posted by Mortimer

Maybe but belly dancing is not only sexual clothing but also sexual moves, the dance is more sexual then hula i think.

Yes, I think you're right. I believe (not sure) the hand movements in hula tell a story and is not sexual.
I actually find Flamenco dancing to be pretty steamy and powerful.
