LOl no leader no matter how good he is should stay in power for more than two terms.

Even george washington was one term president. Those who seek power are not good leaders. What will happen when putin will die .Will it be caos.

Building a good state is more important than being a strong leader.

Funny he didn't post the average salaries and pensions in dollars or euros too, since no one(generally outside Russia) knows what a rubble is worth or how much it has lost in value since then. But with supposed low inflation, I guess it still looks good and the national currency can not have depreciated that much.

I remember back in the 1990s I used to hear stories about Russia being a very frightening place where a person could not visit safely. Tourism was out of the question in those days, although I do now know of some brave people who did go to Moscow then. From what I have heard it is now possible to visit Russia without any problems and you will not face danger so long as you use your common sense. However I have never been to Russia and don't know this country, this is only what people have told me.

I also saw that there are now many Russians abroad. Often where I live I can hear people speaking Russian on the street. There are also quite a lot of Russian tourists who come here.

As for the 1990s I am not sure how people could survive those times.

The volume of oil in the world market are measured in barrels, 1 barrel = 158.988 liters. The cost of oil is calculated in US dollars per 1 barrel. As we see, indeed since the year 2000, when Vladimir Putin became president of the Russian Federation, the price of oil actually increases. But, we all know that other prices also grow. If you recall costs and prices, which were in 2000, and compare them with the present ones, you will find that now everything costs much more expensively. That is, the global reserve currency, dollar also changes its value. And how much value of the dollar has changed for 14 years? And it is also quite easy, because the primary measure of value in the modern world is gold.
The price of gold is determined by the value of one troy ounce on the world market. Let us see in Google, how the price of gold was changing. Since the beginning of 2000, by the present time, the value of gold also increased. So let's do simple math. The average cost of Brent oil in the first quarter of 2000 equals to $ 27 per barrel. The average cost of troy ounce of gold in the first quarter of 2000 is about $ 294 per ounce. How much oil we can buy for one ounce of gold? In the first quarter of 2000, we could buy 10.88 barrels, that is, almost eleven barrels of oil for one ounce of gold. Memorize this number. Let's calculate how much oil we can buy for one ounce of gold in 2014? Average price of Brent oil in the first quarter of 2014 equals to 108 dollars per barrel. But the average price of troy ounce of gold in the first quarter of 2014 was about 1290 dollars per ounce. In the first quarter of 2014, we could buy 11.944 barrels of oil, that is, almost twelve barrels for one troy ounce of gold. At the beginning of 2000 for one troy ounce of gold we could buy 11 barrels of oil, and in early 2014, at the same ounce of gold we could buy almost 12 barrels of oil. It turns out that oil actually has fallen in price.

That comparison No "real" country can compete with Monaco, this is just a billionaire land. Yet Monaco is FULL of Russians. There's even Russian parties all year long (and boy they aren't sucking on ice cubes)
