Yes, especially since the last few months. Many people 's eyes have opened. Now it's essentially the people versus the system establishment, and traitor elite ruling class that needs to be overthrown. But they control virtually all levers of power at the moment, so it won't happen without an ugly fight to root them out, and it won't happen without costly sacrifices from brave patriots.

In general very few are nations accepting their own civil or war crimes, even if these issues are hundreds years old. This would be a good topic in regards of all nations. Putin does what he has to do. Obviously the Ukrainian president hurted bloody the Russian establishment by equating the Red Army and Nazis in the WWII. Interesting question is how long it takes to achieve peace between "Slavic brothers" since ancient Kyiv.
