We're talking about architecture here but nobody talks about the landscape. I am only somewhat familiar with the northern and western Bohemia (having driven through it), but those hills are impressive - like here near Tetschen.

Or the cross-border area of the Bohemian/Saxon Switzerland:

    And the town itself:

Train trip report on the Ceske Drahy Railjet train from Bratislava to Prague. The train was named Slovenska Strela in memory of the first express train from Bratislava to Prague, passing by Brno. The Railjet is just an amazing train: fast, quiet and extremely comfortable. The train that everyone would travel with. Like almost every European train, it's perfectly suitable for the Interrail pass. From Bratislava to Prague by train is a 4 hours trip, perfectly suitable for the interrail (I personally used it some years ago on my Interrail trip).
    TRIP INFORMATION:
    · Company: České Dráhy (CD)
    · Train number: Railjet 284
    · Price: Around 15 €uro
    · Distance: 398 km
    · STATIONS: - Departure: Bratislava - Hlavná Stanica -
    Arrival: Praha - Hlavní Nádraží
    · Departure Platform: 03 ·
Recorded with SAMSUNG GALAXY S9+ (in UHD 4K).

You can easily travel by train through many parts of Europe. Compared with using the plane, travelling by train can be much more comfortable and cheaper. You can travel from Hamburg to Prague for less then 30€. Also the central stations are mot likely much nearer to the city center as the airport. From Pragues central station you need only a 10 Min. walk to the old town. Compared with arriving at the airport you save more then 30 Minutes and additional costs for the necessary taxi or train ride. The board restaurant offers good food & drinks for a fair price. A coffee costs 2,50€, large Czech beer 3,80€ and a warm meal around 8,00€. Also the restaurant is most definitively the best place to sit. The atmosphere is great and you don't need a reservation for it and can freely choose a seat. The saved fee for a reservation of a regular seat can now be invested in drinks and food. From my point of view the much better decision. After crossing the border from Germany to Czech Republic in Bad Schandau, the happy hour starts and prices for alcoholic drinks get reduced for 50%. But most important is to enjoy the view you would miss in a plane:
1:02 Stopver at Dresden - Dresden Central Station
    1:20
Border crossing Germany to Czech Republic incl. Audio
    3:49
    Old castle in the mountains
    4:38 Prague - Central Station

Wake up and smell the coffee.
