A subtype of the Low German House can be found in parts of the North and East of Noord-Brabant: the so-called hoekgevelboerderij where the living space has been partially enlarged and where a (couple of) window(s) and the front door have been retained (in the case of the langgevelboerderij, the entire living space has been enlarged) The above, slightly modernized, sample can be found in Rosmalen. The second one in Den Dungen. Both in the Den Bosch area.

“The Nederlandsch Centraal Filmarchief was founded in 1919 with the goal of collecting films about the Netherlands for future generations. This short film calls on everyone to become a member of the archive, and to donate their negatives of any historical footage. To give an example of historical film footage, the film contains e.g. images of the Utrecht masquerade parade of 1901. In this film by Filmfabriek F.A. Nöggerath, a long procession of Utrecht students dressed in historical costume passes by. The parade was part of the annual celebrations of the University of Utrecht.”

Traditional costumes from the Dutch South:
1. Brabant (mostly Eastern Brabant, the Langstraat and the Meierij van 's Hertogenbosch) with its characteristic poffer (cap),
2. Northern Limburg (here the poffer is known as a toet and the clothing is less elaborate,
3 and 4: Walcheren in Zeeland.
5. Cadzand in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen (Zeeland).

All examples shown here are now, pretty much, extinct.

The Netherlands are a very underrated country. It has very unique landscapes unseen elsewhere in Europe.

I doubt I would move to another country at this stage in my life. The way it looks the motherland is either Poland or Russia. Would I want to live in those particular countries? I'm not sure at this stage.
