Walking in the Almere city centre. A city build on reclaimed land called the Flevopolder. The first house was finished in 1976 and became a municipality in 1984. It is the largest newly planned city in the Netherlands with a projected population of 350.000 in 2030.

In the Air Mobile Brigade and the Commando's (going back to units trained by the British during WWII), marching under the bag pipe is still part of their military tradition and so is the maroon (Air Mobile) and green (Commando's) beret:

In 1925, the small village of Volendam had a proper art store. This shop provided the necessary materials to painters and draughtsmen, who came by the dozens from home and abroad to visit the picturesque Volendam in order to capture the “simple” and, especially, the “unspoiled” fishing lifestyle. The hotelier Leendert Spaander responded to this romantic desire and decorated his rooms with the familiar knickknacks. He also invited students from the art academy to visit the village. The shots give a picture of the village, Volendam’s traditional clothing style and the fishermen.

Tijdens de opening van de reproductiefaciliteit van Glasaal Volendam BV op 3 februari jl. werd een geactualiseerde versie van de documentaire over paling in Volendam gepresenteerd. In deze nieuwe versie van de documentaire staan de eerste beelden van de locatie (Morseweg 17) waar het allemaal moet gaan gebeuren.

De geschiedenis van de Verenigde Oostindische Compagnie, kortweg VOC, is in Enkhuizen nog duidelijk zichtbaar. De VOC was in de 17e en 18e eeuw de grootste handelsonderneming ter wereld die met zijn prachtige schepen naar Aziatische landen reisde om handel te drijven. Door de gunstige ligging aan het IJsselmeer was het aantrekkelijke om hier een ‘Kamer’ van de VOC’ te vestigen. De Drommedaris, de verdedigingstoren aan de haven, en het centrum met de historische panden herinneren nog aan deze welvarende tijd. Zuiderzeemuseum: Ga 150 jaar terug in de tijd. Met meer dan honderdveertig historische gebouwen uit plaatsen rond de voormalige Zuiderzee, is het buitenmuseum een dorp op zich. Bezoek het postkantoor, maak kennis met de bewoners van Urk en help mee met de oude ambachten.

You are witness to one of the most mysterious, profound processes of human life - aging, the process of becoming older and growing up - accelerated into 5 minutes. De films waarin te zien is hoe de kinderen van beeldend kunstenaar Frans Hofmeester opgroeien is in de buitenruimte te zien! Het Centraal Museum Utrecht toont tot 13 februari een nieuwe videokunstmontage van Lotte & Vince op de LED schermen op de zijgevel van het historische gebouw. Beidde films worden parallel vertoond en duren ieder 5 min. Lotte 0 tot 20 jaar en Vince 0 tot 17 jaar. Beeldend Kunstenaar Frans Hofmeester (Utrecht) filmt en fotografeert sinds hun geboorte de portretten van zijn kinderen Lotte & Vince. Elke week en altijd op dezelfde wijze met dezelfde achtergrond. Op basis van dit beeldmateriaal monteert hij sinds 2012 time-lapses die in enkele minuten het ouder worden van zijn kinderen laten zien. Niet eerder maakte iemand een soortgelijke film. Nu te zien in een nieuwe montage op de gevel van het Centraal Museum in Utrecht. Hiermee wordt een nieuw hoofdstuk toegevoegd aan de reeks ‘raamwerk’.
