    No, She was half Spanish and half Italian.

    Her Spanish father was Roderic Llanēol i de Borja born in Xativa near Valencia (Spain).




    Her Italian mother was Vannozza Cattanei (born Mantua, Lombardy, North Italy).

    Yes, this behaviour was characteristic from all the powerful families be in Spain or in Italy. The Machiavello Prince is based on Fernando of Aragon, for example.
