It is usually considered as western, being separated geographically from Scandinavia and the Baltic plain.

South Britain isn't that north, as south as Germany and Poland which are considered Central.

You're being pedantic even South Britain is fairly northern but taking the British Isles as a whole it is definitely northern. Anyway the British Isles is separated geographically from everywhere. Germany goes a lot further south so you can't compare with the British Isles.
