Why is Holocaust Denial a crime in many countries, but not Gulag Denial?

We all know that the Holocaust did happen, we all know that it was horrible for all the victims, and those victims were NOT limited to the Jewish people. You are absolutely right in both sentences, but the point remains that Holocaust Denial is a criminal offence in many countries, whereas Gulag Denial is not; similarly, there is a global Holocaust Memorial Day, but nothing comparable for the victims of the Gulag. Why should some victims be seen as more worthy and ennobled than others?

Isnt it obvious? Jews have too much power in the western world through their lobbies. Its hypocritical that you can talk about what every historical event EXCEPT the holo-cash. Many innocent historians are in prison to this day because they dare to question the holiest of holy. It is a sick double standard, and it must end NOW. Truth does not fear investigation, only lies. True freedom of speech doesn't favor or protect one group of people over other peoples, and one should have the right to talk about jews and etc without fear in being labeled "anti-semtic" or "Nazi".

I agree, except that, unlike you, I find the evidence that the Holocaust occurred overwhelming, even if there may be some discrepancy regarding the total number of victims.
