I can only speak for French legislation, as it's the one I know. Here the "Loi Gayssot" has been adopted in 1990 under pressure of jewish lobbyists. It states that you can't deny Crimes against humanity. Obviously the holocaust was the target but in 2001 they've added the slave trade as one of them.
Few years ago some deputies tried to add Armenian genocide in the law but it has been refused. So it's not tomorrow that our legislation will include gulag denial.
Anyway I truly hope that all those bulls**t laws will be torn down in a near future.
