Contrary to what a lot of people assume, Russian actually sounds like a very soft language to me. It sounds very refined and melodic, and feminine in a way. I think languages like German or Arabic sound much harsher in common speech.

For a Baltic speaker Russian sounds too softened.
Also when Russians pronounce foreign words, they use a lot of soft "l", "n", "t" and other letters instead of hard. We mostly pronounce as it is.
