So it seems we have to introduce ourselves, although I always found that very awkward but nonetheless, hi everyone , my name is Farah and I'm well, almost 19 years old, from Lebanon but living in the Gulf, and I thought I'd join here because I'd like to know more about the infidels

I'd just like to know more about what other people from a totally different world think about and what their concerns are, especially since I study International Relations, so I'm really interested in the world and the current divide between the West and the 'Muslim World'. I'm more likely to read than post as most threads and posts here seem to be European-oriented but whenever there is something I *can* add any input on, I'd be glad to...

I don't know many Europeans in real life, but I've been to Paris, Rome, Vienna and Zurich for very brief periods and they were all culturally enriching experiences...
