I think those exist today in the form of "Arab Republic" but most of them have Islam as the state religion anyhow.

I think that many ... think that the more secularized Arabs are the less aggressive toward the West they will get.
So they're judgin accordingly to what is good for Europeans and not on what could be good for the Arabs.
That is rational , since we have to care for ourselves first.

Does anyone stop and consider why Muslims are aggressive towards the West? Perhaps it has something to do with capitalist aggression in the Islamic world, Western attempts to destabelise Islamic nations and a general policy of genocide aimed at Arab civilians to further the interests of the global banking elite.

Not to mention Western attempts to undermine traditional Arab society and culture. We complain about the same thing happening to our own people, yet when an Arab Muslim chooses to defend his people against the exact same thing, they are evil terrorists who need secular enlightenment from the oh so superior West?

The entire foundation for the advancement in science, technology, was laid down by the Church. The universities et al. But of course, these strides were corrupted by the works of Satan and his demons. Which later led to the Reformation and then eventually to the current state of liberalism, materialism, atheism and secularism.
