The question is: why everyone loves Italian food and nobody would open a Swedish restaurant? The answer is: Swedish foods are disgusting, you eat just herrings and cawlifrowers, Italian foods on the contrary are among the best and they are more varied.

Croatia isn't in the north, but Croatians are the tallest Europeans.

My English neighbour is over 6ft, like a lot of my maternal relatives are too. One of my male cousins in southern England is 6'8".

As Finns share most food with Swedes I have to say we have very good and simple dishes for anyones taste, just not a very wide selection traditionally.

It is due to the diversity of ingredients. The Nordic traditional cuisine, is comprised of few elements, mainly potatoes and fish. On the other side, Mediterranean is rich " enough" not overloaded with spices as Indian and West Asia, or complex sweet and sour as East Asia. Nevertheless saying all above I prefer very much all type of cuisines.

So basically, anything other than the modern American or American-inspired diet is going to be healthier. I think that's all it really comes down to.
