yes, nearly no of the dishes you referred are shared by Greeks or other mediterraneans, but all of them are shared by other nations of asia or caucasus, who are not turkic

If you know Turkish people a bit you also now that we eat lots of pilaf (rice). Even KFC and other international fast food chains who come here offer pilaf in menus to attract more locals and its widespread in Turkic people too. Uzbek pilaf is famous

Spices are less (not as much as Mexican foods etc) but still not as dull as dishwater like Asian foods.

I dislike Mediterranean cuisine (meaning I don't eat it, nothing against it), but this is the only Italian restaurant I like in the USA. And not often.

What kinds of Asian foods have you been eating??? Dull is certainly not the way to describe it, and there's far more difference between Asian cuisines (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, etc) than between all of MENA.

But food isn't a competition! Most cuisines - from Ethiopian to Sri Lankan to Russian to Spanish - are excellent in their own way. The real rulers of cuisine are the international cities (London, Australian cities, American cities) because they offer variety.
