See, now there's a mix that doesn't seem like the end of the world.

Doesn't seem like mixing at all to me, tbh. Estonians are like continental Finns (no offense to anyone intended, I'm not denying anyone the right to their identity)

finns to me are more like balts....with some Germanic influence in them.

Lol, yes, we where so liberal before that.

there are not many books here on balts or finns.....I have more luck finding something on slavs... I have one book but it is more about landmarks in finland and the history behind them. Like Swedish castles etc... pagans did have liberal tendencies as this is where liberalism aka democracy came from.

My mother's side is finnish [Swedish finn though], german [Prussian with one southern german ancestor], and irish hahaha they look uber Nordic. I could post a picture of my mother here and people would classify her as german, maybe Danish....maybe even Baltic looking. Not too sure to me she looks very Northern German though.

Christianity though keeps traditional values......most pagans here are ultra liberal and hippy like. Here rural protestant and catholics are conservative. despite coming from a liberally conservative place....they still are pretty right wing compared to most people here.
