But it proves that hunter eyes are not ESSENTIAL cuz he still looks good

Large, round eyes can work as long as they DEEP SET. Protruding large eyes are a death sentence.

Almond eyes are more common on Med people imo than on northern Europeans. I do know people of fully Norwegian descent that have almond eyes though.

This is what Hunter Cromag eye sockets looked like

The difference is striking. Sockets are extremely broad which makes the skull look like medieval battle helmet

I noticed that I naturally happened to find men with "small" or narrow eyes attractive. I thought I was being absurd and in the minority, as I usually hear of "big gorgeous eyes" used as compliments instead of "gorgeous small eyes". I mean, you rarely hear the latter used as a compliment, for men and for women alike. So I searched "narrows eyes men attractive" and I got this thread. It seems like, so many people tend to find the narrow or piercing-eyed look of a man ideal.

These are the type of eyes on men that I find attractive (I'm guessing these would be 'hunter eyes')?:

No, hunter eyes are not always fundamental for a man's attractiveness. At least, not for many women. However, you can still look good and have large eyes. Elijah Wood has been famous for his big blue eyes. Now sure, maybe he wasn't seen in a sexual way. But he was still seen as "cute" or "beautiful". Nonetheless, cute can always turn into attractive.
