Other than your own, which EU country would you like to live in?

Since I guess we're taking EU to mean European Union, then I'd probably go with Sweden. Been there many times, can understand the language fairly well (although skånska still throws me off), the climate suits me and the (native) culture fits well with me. It is not perfect and it does have its problems, but I am sure I would enjoy life there. I'd also very much like the Netherlands, Flanders and Denmark, but I would probably slightly edge Sweden over the other three for no real reason other than the fact that I don't speak the native tongue in those other three places.

If you'd include every single European country, Norway would hands down be my first choice, basically for all of the same reasons as Sweden except amplified, and also the nature is better and quality of life is slightly higher. I've also lived in Norway for a year so I'm a bit more familiar with society and customs/etc., and I don't have many bad things at all to say about it as a country. Switzerland would also be another incredibly appealing choice, but I only speak a very small amount of German and Swiss citizenship is notoriously difficult to acquire, so Norway edges it slightly.

As for other countries, they can be great places to visit, but I'd never want to permanently move outside of NW Europe.

Why aren't the beautiful countries of Norway, Iceland, and Switzerland included in the poll?

I'd happily choose Norway, Ireland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, or Switzerland. They all look beautiful, peaceful, and have great qualities of life too. Norway is well known for having one of the best qualities of life in the world.
