I'd say Afghanistan is culturally Middle Eastern (Iranic). Pakistan is the meeting point between Middle Eastern and South Asian. Afghanistan is not Central Asian except for the few Turkic minorities in the far north.

Nope , we are more central Asian than middle Eastern . Even the afghans in the south have significant affinity towards central Asian groups , not just the Turkic minorities . We are more central / west Asian than south Asian though .
