But the vast majority of Hungarians look clear European and they have very little Mongoloid admixtue according to genetic studies. Even Romanians and Ukranians seem to have a bit more, and a bit more the Russians and Finns. Also the Turanic language family is not even believed to exist as such anymore. It is now generally believed Finno-Ugrics and Proto-Magyars came from northeastern Europe, rather than Siberia. Even Eastern Finnics are much more European than Asian.

And more than half of these Hungarians have a very little Mongoloid racial heritage, but this is totally irrevelant, since the Turanism never had racial dimension in Hungary.
What language family? Also the Turanic language family is not even believed to exist as such anymore.
The Hungarians spoke an Uralic language.

ps. The forst steppe zone of Western Siberia (Sargat culture) was the Magyar homeland based on the contemporary scientific consensus.

Peoples who spoke Iranian languages (including the Scythians and Sarmatians) dominated the Eurasian steppes between around 800 BC and 350 AD.[96][97] During this period, all ethnic groups in the steppes were nomads and their material cultures were almost identical, making the certain identification of the ancient Magyars impossible.[97] Accordingly, the location of the Magyars' original homeland is still subject to scholarly debates.[98] Róna-Tas says that the development of the Hungarian language started west of the Urals, in the region of the rivers Kama and Volga.[99] On the other hand, archaeologist István Fodor writes that the Urheimat of the Magyars lay to the east of the mountains.[100] He says that some features of the tumuli erected at Chelyabinsk in the 4th century BC (including the northward orientation of the heads of the deceased and the geometric motifs on the clay vessels put in the graves) are similar to older burials that he attributes to Ugric peoples.[101] Two popular motifs of the art of the 10th-century Magyars (the stag and the eagle) had close analogies in Scythian art.[102] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hungarian_prehistory

What is Turanism based on? Sometimes you say it's cultural, sometimes you say racial. No such thing as Turanics. Hungarians have so little Mongoloid genes, that it's irrelevant indeed.
