    esa página ya la conocia, es la mejor que hay en cuanto apellidos españoles, ya que es oficial del Estado. Mi apellido tiene su pico en la zona de Castilla la Vieja (Burgos, Valladolid, Palencia, Segovia). En el resto de la España es poco frecuente.

    Mi primer apellido, que en su forma original quedaba bastante mítico y quijotesco (tipo "de la Encina", no es exactamente ese pero parecido) algún funcionario retrasado se lo recortó a mi bisabuelo al inscribirlo en el censo de forma que desde entonces ha quedado sin el "de", y es así como lo heredado yo. Si busco el apellido entero, me sale que la mayor frecuencia está en Gualadajara y Cuenca. Si busco el apellido recortado, tal y como lo tengo, me sale que es un apellido con máxima frecuencia en la Galicia costera.

    Mi segundo apellido también es un error del funcionario según me contaron, por no sé que motivo legal el que me correspondería era el de mi bisabuela (porque tuvo a mi abuelo siendo soltera o algo así) pero el funcionario se equivocó e inscribió el de mi bisabuelo, de forma que en vez de tener un apellido gallego que prácticamente solo existe en la provincia de la Coruña, tengo el de mi bisabuelo que es un apellido completamente corriente, Martínez.

    en fin... mi primer apellido es muy poco común en mi provincia de origen, mi segundo es mas común cerca de mi provincia de origen y casai exclusivo de aragón y valencia.

    también tengo sangre de Cantabria (soy 1/16 para ser exacto) el apellido materno de mi bisabuela es nativo de Cantabria, solo aparece en azul Cantabria,

    browsing a list of Spanish surnames I found a lot of them similar to Sardinian surnames, some of them seem to be a parallel evolution from Latin, others could have Sardinian origins
